The steering rack end could also be considered the tie-rod. It threads into the steering rack and extends out to the tie rod end. The LSR rack end was designed using a heavier grade steel with a larger ball diameter and increased taper to give�it superior�strength over the OEM parts. However the rack end is still designed to give under extreme force to help prevent the steering rack from breaking.
